Hope for the Best
We have had two terrific meetings on the topic of consciousness, though I’m not conscious of the exact contents of the discussion since I was unable to attend and summaries weren’t kept. I sent out a 52-page topic description from the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy so if even a small portion of that got into the meetings a good time was had by all.
The next meeting will have to be scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, at 10-12 a.m. at the Living Room. Three people have a conflicting obligation on the 11th, so we are moving it up one week and will let you know if things change. So plan on June 4th.
Fr. Phil, OFM and I discussed some of the issues that arose from the two meetings – materialism and dualism, intentionality, hope and progress – and made a more or less conscious decision to follow up with the topic of hope.
We’re hoping everyone can attend.
